Redefinition of Marriage Continues
Yesterday, two religious leaders charged with practicing polygamy came to court in British Columbia, Canada. In their defense, they cited Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms and said that the legality of same-sex "marriage" makes it difficult to argue that multiple marriage is a criminal offense.
They trotted out the "consenting adults" mantra, which seems to always be a high-ground tactic for those who want to redefine the traditional definition of marriage.
Once again, people are trying to write their own rules for life instead of following the rules God has laid out in His Word. Based on their world view, they're not wrong. They're right.
But they're on the wrong side of the argument. Biblically speaking, marriage is supposed to be one man and one woman for life. It is an illusion to believe that the Bible sanctions multiple marriage or same-sex "marriage."
