A Knuckleheaded Move

You ever have those times when your brain just kind of short-circuits? I had one last night. I hope you don't mind, but I'll tell you about it.

I had planned to perform the Floating Bill last night, but when the bill cut the SPOMT* at the very beginning I just aborted the show (on my last effect) and stopped everything. I had Timothy Wenk's Misled in my case, and I had a Mis-Made Bill routine in there, too. I could have done either of those instead. Why didn't I think of that?

I guess I was too focused on what I was going to do. I probably should have said, "Well, you've probably always wondered what it looked like when the magician screws up..." and then pulled something else out of my case to do with the gentleman's bill.

The Floating Bill is what I call high-wire magic, and I should have had a low-wire effect as a safety net, and used it. That's my note to self for the next time.

2009 is my year to break out into my own personality and routines! I will attempt each month to take one effect I do, break it down, and build it back up.

This is going to be fun.
