My first TV gig!
Yesterday afternoon I had my first television performance in my life, for Bay3TV in Bay City. It was the annual Bay County Fireworks fund raiser, and I showed up comfortably before my 3:40 PM time slot.
There was some delay in getting on the air, though, and I was patient until I was able to get on the air at about 5:15 PM. But it was the most fun I've yet had doing magic.
Soon I hope to have a video of my performance available on the web. Will let you know when that happens.
I want to thank Pete McCabe and his great book Scripting Magic, which has revolutionized how I think about my performances. I also want to thank two nice gentlemen -- Jack Hebert, who endured an hour-long rock & roll performance by a loud band named Explosion, and Richard and his wife Sue, who generously bought Bay County Fireworks T-shirts for me and my young friend Daniel who was tagging along with me during the afternoon.
It was a great day, and I hope I can get more TV gigs in the future!
