Who's Ripley Now?

"Sarcos, a Utah-based company, has been working for years on real-life exoskeletons for the military. Recently purchased by Raytheon, Sarcos' exoskeletons are starting to get impressively realistic, though still not a threat to Iron Man."
I'm reminded of the "power loaders" from the movie Aliens. Those were some pretty cool devices, but until now they were only the product of movie magic.
What amazes me is all the design and engineering that goes into these "enhancement machines," while most scientists still cling to the belief that the human machine simply evolved by chance over a whole lot of time.
Look at the intelligent energy being expended here, working to augment what is already here. Pretty cool; I hope they keep it up. Think of how the technology can be applied to people with physical handicaps in the future. The possibilities are stunning!
